NYC, DC, Atlanta, LA, Denver, KC, Montgomery, Boston... Louise Story and Ebony Reed have convened gatherings about racial wealth gaps across the country.
We have been so glad to see you on the road, especially during the week of Juneteenth. Our events have gone well beyond our book and Yale teaching — we’ve brought in regional guests to join us to add context to our findings. We draw out audience questions and encourage mingling. We share data about the Black-white wealth gap, and speak about our goals. Below are our upcoming events…

Wednesday, June 19: New York, NY. On this historic day, we participated in two separate events.
June 19: “Juneteenth Event in Times Square: The Black-White Wealth Gap and the Quest for Financial Equality.” An event featuring three individuals from the pages of “Fifteen Cents on the Dollar” as well as leaders from New York Cares, Legal Aid Society and the Players Coalition. This event also featured a panel with President Biden’s former leader of racial equity initiatives, a leading venture capitalist, a scholar on race and inequality, and a Black press entrepreneur. June 19: “Celebrate Juneteenth at West End.” We joined three individuals from our book onstage in this event, which was open to the public. 7p.m. at the Sanctuary at West End Church. 245 w. 77th Street, New York, NY. Details on calendar here.
